Making change your superpower

In 2016 I left a full-time corporate job without a plan, but knowing that what would come next would be very different. I set up Change Ready soon afterwards with this aim: Make Change That Matters

Why? Because I know we're all capable of shaping change at work, in our communities and at home. And there's no shortage of things that urgently need to change, but we’re not always equipped with the skills to do it.

Back then I was fed up ploughing my time and energy into projects that weren't moving things forward in a meaningful way (other than increasing profit).

Now I’m proud to fill my days working with impact-driven individuals and organisations, supporting them to develop the skills, confidence and connections needed to make change that matters. It has been a steep learning curve with plenty of hard lessons, but it’s also a lot of fun and I have met some amazing people along the way.

Change is something we deal with every day but we're rarely taught how to do it. We're fed a myth that it's 'hard' and we prefer the comfort of the status quo, or that we need a project team to come and do it for us.

In reality, if you learn some key skills and practice them with others, you can make change your superpower.

⭐️ Feel confident and inspired to shape the change you want to see
⭐️ Prioritise and focus on the changes that will have greatest impact
⭐️ Lead your teams with confidence to deliver your plans
⭐️ Promote change equality, where everyone has a voice and they're invited to contribute their unique skills and perspective
⭐️ Collaborate and develop networks of support to achieve more together and overcome challenges
⭐️ Provide the right communication and support to deliver and sustain change
⭐️ Develop a culture where change, innovation and continuous improvement are part of the day-job
